T.J. Bell was incorporated in 1986 as the North American distributor for Erichsen Test Equipment from Germany. Erichsen testing instruments are designed to help you analyze the physical properties of paints and coatings. Over time, customers requested the addition of other synergistic test equipment to enhance our ability to serve their needs.

Growth and expansion now allow us to offer solutions from two complimentary divisions. The Paint and Coating Testers division features Erichsen Test Equipment including instruments to test ductility/formability, viscosity, film thickness, density, brightness, opacity and many other coating properties. The Turbotech Air Knife Systems division features air knife blow-off systems custom designed to solve unique drying, cooling and other process challenges.

Customers often use our service at two ends of the same factory helping to prepare or dry a product to accept a finish then testing the quality of the final finish. Primary industries that are supported include automotive, appliance, plastics, rubber, film, paper, electronic, glass, food, canning and sheet metal.
